Letter to Pyotr Lavrov, October 8, 1875

MARX TO PYOTR LAVROV[1]

IN LONDON

[London,] 8 October 1875
41 Maitland Park Road, N. W.

Dear Friend,

I am sorry that I and my wife were not at home when you were kind enough to call.

I got the Quelques Mots d'un Groupe... Russe etc. from Engels[2] and shall, with your permission, show it to another of my friends before returning it. This puerile scriptum does not warrant an answer.

Yours sincerely,

K. M.

  1. Marx wrote this letter on a postcard. On the side reserved for the address he wrote: 'Mons. P. Lawroff, 3, Evershot Road, Tollington Park, Holloway.'
