ENGELS TO STANISLAW MENDELSON
IN LONDON
[London,] Sunday, 18 January 1891
Dear Citizen Mendelson,
After my conversation with Mrs Mendelson yesterday evening I discovered an article in the Paris Socialiste[1] on the strength of which you could, I believe, write a letter to the English press regarding the matter Mrs Mendelson and Citizen Jodko spoke to me about.
I have discussed the matter with Aveling and his wife.[2] They will be dropping in on you tomorrow morning. If you and Aveling would then care to fix a time for the two of you to do me the pleasure of calling here, we could compose a letter and arrange for it to appear in the press.
My compliments to Mrs Mendelson and Citizen Jodko.
Yours very sincerely,
F. Engels
