Letter to Karl Kautsky, November 15, 1894

ENGELS TO KARL KAUTSKY

IN STUTTGART

[London,] 15 November 1894

Dear Baron,

I have just been going through Tussy's article[1] with her—at one point there is an amendment by which she rightly, or so it seems to me, sets store but which, because it was written on a sheet of paper, she failed to include. It belongs at the end of the preface, which should read: 'in general Mr Brentano's manner of writing history is distinguished by three characteristics: 1.' etc.

Will you still be able to add this?

By the time this arrives you may already have seen from the Vorwärts 421

that I am being forced to write an agrarian article[2] upon which I am working at this moment and which I shall very shortly have the honour of placing at your disposal.

Yours,

F.E.
